They Kevin mentioned that the search for a group was important. Your family, you say, was filled with obesity and not a healthy group of people you probably find could support. Where did you support be found?

Angela at the beginning of the most important, that I wanted to Potluck. Potluck It was about once a month and really the difference for me. Because, as I said, I was in the landscape in Iceland, and I really isolated and just kind of crazy at times, and I then go to this Potluck and there are all these people there and all this amazing, vibrant food. I want people to see the different creations and just that feeling of community and it's not just me. The really nice feeling, there are other people who are on this path. And then of course everything on the Internet only grow so much in recent years with raw food. So I started, more and more, and in these days we have this wonderful online communities such as giveittomeraw.com eat.rawfood.com and thus is what I really the people around in. If you can meet face - to face in your communities, or if there is no Potluck near you create. Only a few small signs of the area around your joy, "" Is there anyone interested in more to eat healthy "" You might even say, "" Eating raw food in "" or "eat vegan" or whatever it is. Or start a reading group about the health and development of IT books from there. You did not feel isolated or alone. This message is really spreading. That is what inspires me is to think about how it only goes to the expansion. Currently, the infrastructure is not there so much in society for them to feel very simple to a raw foodist a large part of the time. But it comes from. It is so exciting in the coming years, I think to see what unfolds.

Kevin Let's get in a question that I like from one of our listeners, on the route now, she wonders what really is the best way to take the first steps in raw foods without shocking the system?

Angela Yes, I would recommend for people to feed at least 50 percent raw, and preferably at least 50 percent of the fresh, raw materials. So not all dehydrated and packaged food, raw materials, but a lot of fresh stuff. And then take it out and start building up the share of raw materials, which you edit. And maybe someday you will be 100 percent raw and maybe you do not. Like this person, so in the matter, it's really important not to shock the system. From what I have seen time and time again with people, so many people are on raw food and they want 100 percent, and it directly into the deep end and then they go in this vast detoxification and you never see them again. They jump from the car completely and that's it. And I feel really sad when I see that things like that. I would rather see people slowly, slowly, new habits in their lives. This is a lifestyle for me. It is not about to rely on some diet you go back to a point. That is not the mentality to put it out of my sight.

So yeah, slowly build in cooperation with the food that you already know that you like. Everyone has some kind of raw food that they already know they like. Maybe it's plums or maybe it's celery, whatever. And this is actually one of the steps that I guide people to do, "" RAW EMOTIONS "" It is a list of foods that you already know that you like and have that in your house. Did they, like on the refrigerator when you go shopping or when you order online or whatever it is, you have this thing and you can add it as you try new things, adapt to your palate. And to keep trying new things. Each week, perhaps try one or two new foods. And slowly, slowly to keep new things, so that you do not feel the restriction and deprivation. What is so common that you hear when they say, crude, "" Oh, I can not eat bread anymore. "" Or, "I am not allowed to eat. "For me it's just not really from a space of empowerment or a space in which you really enjoy what you are doing. It appears they come from a perspective weakened. And so slowly build up and make sure that what you can do to the body as they detox. Because this is really what is at stake. It really is about coming in concert with nature. It is like pressing the reset button in your body.

It is how you release the button. "" Okay, I packed in heaven knows how many pounds and pounds of toxic stuff for years and now we will go. "" And your body is simply going for them. As I said earlier, the body falls only on the optimal health and it is just dumping things out of your cells like crazy. So do what you can to help in this process. You colon cleaning, brushing your skin, keep your lymph moving, not exercise, everything. Tongue scraping, netipot what you can to go the detoxification process. And so friendly to you. Be gentle to it. It must not be all or nothing in the initial phase. Take it slow.

Kevin Some people may not know what the skin brushing is. Can you just explain what that is?

Angela Klar. You take a dry brush, a special version that you can buy in health food stores and stuff, they are really cheap, perhaps ten dollars, and you through your entire body with this dry brush, like before bathing or before The step in the shower or whatever. And that sounds kind of crazy, if you're not used to it, but if you do, you may find that you just fall in love with dry skin brushing. It is a wonderful way of removing dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. You know, the skin is our largest organ and it is an opportunity for detoxing through our skin. But a lot of people just do not really understand the opportunity. People where clothes all the time, tight clothes and deodorant and body lotions and they really do not understand the body and the skin, a lot of room to breathe. So, if the dry skin brushing is how you remove all those dead layers of skin, you can use the muscles, a nice training, you move the lymph as well and it's just all around a very positive habit to do daily with your body. And it is so cheap. Ten U.S. Dollar investment in a brush and you've got it for like twenty years or so. So I highly recommend dry skin brushing.

Kevin, what would you suggest that someone right now, listen to this call, everything you said, what would you recommend is the first step you can either weight loss or the results of raw food that they really are looking for?

Angela I would definitely say if you have processed or cooked food in your house that you do not feel great about, and it is in your borders to them from your house, then they go. Get the stuff from your personal area and start this list together of what you really enjoy. Start the connection to other people, your momentum in this lifestyle, so that there is only more and more into the day to day what you are doing. So that there is only ordinary.

We had so many years to live and eat this other way, and we have all these patterns behind us to get from now, and just try what you can do every day just to check in with the what is wrong with your raw food in any way, be it that you have a raw food book or go on a raw food website for inspiration. Reach out to others, you're not alone.

And I always say, I really feel like if I can do this, as you can. Six years ago I was 300 pounds and had no interest in health as well as ever. And I'm still here. If I were not here yet, six years later, when it is not a good reason. So my health, my joy, everything in my life was completely changed from done. And there is no reason why other people do not learn that the same kind of changes, if they only choose to do this and stay on this path.

Kevin That's great advice.
