Most people want to leave all worries behind during the trip. After all, your holiday at a time of rest and relaxation. You try to look at the most, that the essentials should be treated before it. Think out to stop mail delivery and newspaper temporarily, make sure that all appliances are turned off, that someone take care of your dog or cat, and have a review of the house and car, while you're away.
The hotels are booked, the ticket is in hand, and you know that you took care of everything. Or do you have? Dental and medical emergencies can happen and during holidays abroad. There are some very important facts that most people do not believe should be a medical or dental emergencies happen.
For example, infection is an important aspect of every dental office in the U.S., or severe penalties fine. This is not necessarily a problem in many other countries. I visited the island in the West Indies, where gloves, sterilization, and disposable needles were not considered in the care of the dental treatment.
To prevent such terrible events, including the possible spread of infection, some common sense would be very helpful and should be considered before you for your trip.
First and foremost, a check-up and cleaning by your dentist. If you have dental insurance, call and find out whether there is a reimbursement or time during the trip. Another important tip is along a dental emergency kit which should include the following.
In a plastic container with a lid, the following points for your dental kit:
- Disposable gloves (2-3 couples), can be bought, or ask your dentist for some.
- A small mouth mirror and a dental pick, which are sold in most pharmacies. In case they do not sterilize their tools, you can create your own.
- Packet of gauze
- Small flashlight
- Temporary crown and bridge cement the case that a filling or cap falls out (is at most
Drugstores).
- Analgesics such as aspirin
The kit is a safety in the event of a dental emergency while traveling for business travelers and tourists.
