after traveling some 500,000 miles in a fairly large Recreational Vehicle, I must say that if I have to truck stops, I'm a little worried about the truck driver, in which they appear on the form, many are obese and they look like they are very near a diabetic collapse.
Something needs to be done to assist them. I can tell you this and that is that truck stops have to chill out on all the junk food they sell and sell things that are better for those drivers. Truck Driver Health, and we already have a shortage of truck drivers in this country, and if these people are worse than on their health, they are deep in some serious health declines.
Luckily, I noticed a couple of truck stops on this issue. Flying J and Pilot truck stops now bananas, apples and other good food to eat in front of the door. Perhaps this is due to the growing concern of the American Trucking Association, American Diabetes Association, or perhaps only truck drivers say, 'Hey, why can not we sell something other than junk food here?
The issue of truck driver's health is a serious matter and it is a question that must be addressed, because if we do not lose, can we have some very good men and a large number of very patriotic Americans. So, this in 2006.
