Everyone has a different answer to the health equation these days. Cutting through the hype, here are a few things you can do to see improvements in health. Remember, always with your doctor before you your diet or exercise!
30 minutes one kind of exercise daily. Remember, in a previous points I mentioned that is also acceptable, if this is all you can do. You really do not have to do a marathon, just a little more physical activity than you're used to.
Eating the fruits and vegetables. In general, lower calorie, higher fiber content that you can eat less and be more full! Studies seem to indicate that they lower the risk of some cancers.
A simple multi-vitamin can be a little pep in your step. It is always best to make your nutrition from food, but we rarely get enough of what we need to help fill the gap with the vitamin!
Have you had enough sleep? This is where I caught the most. I am a classic over-achiever and I quite often the victims on my sleep. Let me tell you what I say not what I do. Get 7-8 hours of sleep. You will feel better, and possibly age slower.
I think 5-7 small meals per day keeps me feeling better than 3 large meals. Of course, this is something to work with your doctor, especially if you have diabetes or other health conditions. In contrast to the low carb diet fashion waves, I was standing with the USDA food pyramid and say, a balanced diet is almost always the best answer.
Water. A lot of water. Skip sodas, coffee and alcohol and drink plenty of water. I can not emphasize enough. Proper hydration can really help you feel better.
Finally, attitude. Keep it positive. If I had cancer, I joked around a lot. I think that is a good part of the reason why I'm still here. Learn optimism, it is a great habit.
