Vitamins for Pets - how important are they?
A vitamin supplement for pets is essential to the welfare of your pet unless you are already feeding your pet its natural raw diet in precisely the proportions it eat in the wilderness. If not, your pet is a more or less, a lack of vitamins, which they consider an optimal health. Sure, your pet may get by without them, but if you want to see a long and healthy life for your pet, your pet needs a vitamin supplement. Vitamins may also be of great help if your pet is already a disease or health of an Art
Just like humans, almost all animals do benefit from a vitamin supplement. And how did it considerable controversy in the medical fraternity over whether people need additional vitamins, so too do many vets the need for dietary supplements for pets.
The argument usually goes something like this: "The majority of commercial pet foods contain added vitamins. Even if your pet food may be insufficient, the vitamins to pet food to be compensated."
Wrong! Many human breakfast cereals contain added vitamins - they sprayed after processing. And it has been found that you ingest more vitamins by eating the packaging than you by the consumption of the cereal inside. It is a gimmick. A gimmick for you to purchase the grain and feel comfortable in the "knowledge" that you have some vitamins, even if you do not eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. But what? It is not compensated. Even the fruit and vegetables we buy today have very little in them in the form of vitamins and minerals, in comparison to what they should ideally contain. Unless you buy organic fruit and veges from the farm and eat them on the same day, you're not optimizing your vitamin intake of fresh foods.
This is the reason why many of us now routinely supplement our diets with vitamin tablets, even if we eat a balanced diet. If we do not, we are likely to be vitamin deficient to some degree. That is the reason why cancer, cardiovascular and other degenerative diseases are at a historic high, and they're still on the rise. A hundred years ago, these conditions were not known.
The same applies to our pets. In fact, they are generally in a worse position than us in terms of an adequate intake of vitamins. This is because, in contrast to what many of the so-called "authorities" have you believe, the garbage, which to us as food for your pet causing irreparable damage. So the fact that there may be some "vitamins" is just a complete gimmick, and absolutely worthless from your pet's health perspective.
It is important that you feed your pet something as close as possible to its natural diet as possible, and in most cases this is not enough. Addition is essential.
Your pet a natural diet is raw food exclusively. Is that what you're feeding your pet? Or did you opt for the convenience of pet food some or all of the time? Unless you can replicate what your pet would eat in nature, you owe it to your pet to a vitamin supplement. And who can repeat what they want to eat in the wild? In exactly the same proportions?
Nobody. So you know what that means? Everything you need to make your pet a vitamin supplement.
