I remember as a child, when I have a sore throat, the first thing my mother would do would be to boil some water and throw in a little lemon juice and a heaping tablespoon of honey. I have not asked her, why, but I know that 9 out of 10 times after that I end yummy mix, my neck pain was gone. Later in life, when I started to the health benefits of many foods, I discovered exactly what it was in the mixture, that got rid of my sore throat.

Honey is probably one of the finest natural foods. Of course, this also depends on the quality of the honey itself. Not all are like honey, so you really have to do your due diligence when buying honey.

The United States, unfortunately, become a "go to your doctor," the society, is absolutely nothing for the healing of honey.

The reason that honey is such a great healer, because it consists mainly of glucose and fructose. These two sugar strongly attract water. So what happens is that honey sucks the water out of the wound to make it dry. It is so easy, how it works, and yet so incredibly effective.

But the most effective use of honey is internally. Just a spoonful of honey a day is sufficient if the majority of free radicals in the body. The reason is that honey raises the level of antioxidant compounds in the body. Many studies have been performed to show that people on a daily regiment of honey, if blood tests at the end of the study showed higher antioxidant.

And if all this is not enough, honey is absolutely delicious. As I said, not all honey is the same, and you really have to compare. You want to opt for a honey, as naturally as possible. Your best bet is with the local health authorities, food store, although there must be careful.

The health benefits of honey are numerous. And it tastes too.

It's almost like heaven on earth.
